milestone in its research and
development of electrolyte detection
techniques.
Ensil is currently working on developing
a range of electronic sensors that would
ascertain vital levels of electrolytes
in urine, such as potassium and sodium,
vital for human health.

Keith P. Ambachtsheer, Chairman of The Princess Margaret Hospital Foundation Board, is pleased to announce the appointment
of the following new member, effective immediately.
Farsad Kiani is President and CEO of the Ensil Group of Companies and Exceltion Medical Innovation. The Ensil
Group is involved in research, development and manufacturing of electronic systems and assemblies used in the fields of defense and aerospace.
Exceltion Medical Innovation is primarily involved in research and development in the medical field.
In 1983, Mr. Kiani graduated from the State University of New York with a degree in Electrical Engineering. He has served on boards in the private and public sectors, and is currently Director of the Kiani
Foundation, Ensil Foundation, past Director of the York Central Hospital Foundation and Director of the Royal Commonwealth Society Foundation.
Mr. Kiani focuses his time on a diverse range of philanthropic endeavors, ranging from the support of health care in our communities to support of youth emergency shelters, food banks and scholarship funds.
In 2003, Mr. Kiani became a recipient of the Queen’s Golden Jubilee for meritorious service and citizenship.
The Princess Margaret and its research arm, the Ontario Cancer Institute, which includes The Campbell Family Cancer Research Institute, have achieved an international reputation as one of
the top 5 cancer research centres in the world. The Princess Margaret Hospital Foundation raises funds for breakthrough research, exemplary teaching and compassionate care at The Princess Margaret, University Health Network.
